Merideth obtained her Doctorate and masters degree in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology with a specialty in Forensic Psychology. She also obtained a masters degree in General Psychology from the University of St. Francis while working with children diagnosed with autism and developmental delays. She has worked with children in a mental health hospital setting who were deaf and hard of hearing. Merideth has provided forensic evaluations for numerous facilities. She has also led and co-led psychotherapy and psycho-educational groups for both men and women including sex offender treatment, anger management, coping skills, depression, parenting, and dual diagnosis. She has taught graduate classes at the University of St. Francis and is experienced in providing therapy for children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings. She focuses on utilizing Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy in treatment as well as integrating principles of Behavior Modification, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectal Behavior Therapy, and Trauma Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy during individual and group psychotherapy.

Merideth began her career at Dunn Associates, P.C. in 2015. Her favorite thing about working in the practice is the weekly support from colleagues and the wealth of expertise that is accessible from other clinicians.

For self-care, Merideth enjoys being outside, landscape photography, playing euchre, eating at new restaurants, and listening to audiobooks. Her favorite 2025 audiobooks are Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt, Bits and Pieces by Whoppi Goldberg, No More Tears by Gardiner Harris, The Nine by Gwen Straus, and Sociopath by Patric Gagne.

ADHD Assessment Information:
Ages 6 years through adulthood (referral recommended)
Duration approximately 2.5 to 3.5 hours over the course of 3-4 sessions (in
person and not telehealth)
Feedback typically within 30 to 45 business days from start of first kept
appointment (contingent on client availability and client completion of paperwork,
arriving on time, remembering appointment times, holidays, vacations,
unforeseen circumstances, complete payment of fees)

o Clinical interview (legal guardian is required for those under 18 years of
age or for those that have a guardian and are over the age of 18)
o Mental status exam
o Review of previous mental health records and academic history (please
bring any documentation you may have such as Individualized Education
Plans, 504s, Vanderbilts, psychological testing, concerns from counselors,
etc.)
o Brief Intelligence Quotient
o Behavioral observations
o Questionnaires (self, parent, observer, teacher)
o Continuous Performance Task
o Sustained auditory attention and cognitive flexibility (ages 8 to 16 years)
o Feedback with recommendations and resources
o Summary letter to referral source
